Public Space, Private Freedom: OSUGA’s Offline Stores
CHINA

For a long time, conversations about sex—especially women’s pleasure—have been pushed into the margins. Whispered. Hidden. Kept private not because they should be, but because society was uncomfortable hearing them out loud.

At OSUGA, we believe it’s time to change that.

We have chosen to step into the most visible public spaces possible: the country’s top-tier shopping malls. Today, OSUGA has 26 offline stores nationwide, making us the first adult brand to establish a large-scale presence in such prestigious locations.

These stores are not just places to shop. They are places to exist—comfortably, openly, and without apology.

Stepping Into the Light

Selling products has never been our only goal.

We opened offline stores because we wanted to make a statement:
sexual wellness deserves a place in everyday life, not behind closed doors.

By bringing OSUGA into mainstream commercial spaces, we are gently but firmly saying that:

  • Talking about sex does not diminish dignity
  • Women’s pleasure does not need to be hidden
  • Desire can coexist with elegance, intelligence, and calm

For many women, walking into an OSUGA store is the first time they’ve encountered sexual wellness in a space that feels safe, public, and unashamed. That moment matters.

To us, every store is an invitation—to step in, slow down, and feel at ease with curiosity.

A Space Between Concealment and Desire

Our very first store was just 47 square meters, but it carried a big idea: to express the subtle tension between concealment and desire—what is hidden, and what quietly asks to be seen.

After testing dozens of materials, we chose metal mesh fabric, suspended from the ceiling like a soft cloud. From a distance, it appears light and floating. When illuminated, it becomes translucent—light passing through like desire filtering through uncertainty.

At the entrance, a semi-suspended cage-like structure greets visitors. It is inspired by our brand symbol, Cuddly Bird—a design originally created to imagine a bird being gently released from its cage. For us, it represents the release of female sexuality from silence.

Throughout the space, contrasts coexist:

  • Soft and hard
  • Open and private
  • Structured yet fluid

We wanted the store to feel “firm yet tender”—much like the experience of reclaiming one’s own desire.

Seen, but Never Stared At

We are deeply aware of one thing: being seen is not the same as being stared at.

That’s why our stores are designed to respect every level of comfort.

  • Displays are intentionally spaced, allowing you to browse without crowding
  • Multiple testers are available so exploration never feels rushed
  • A “Do Not Disturb” mode lets customers shop quietly, with product information available through individual videos
  • Fitting rooms and detailed catalogs support thoughtful, private decision-making
  • Packaging options with or without logos let you choose how visible—or invisible—you want to be
You are always in control.
And if you choose not to shop at all, that’s welcome too.

Our stores include sofas to rest on, screens showing sexual education content, shelves with books like The Hite Report and Living at the Limit, and artworks by female artists. You can read, pause, or simply sit with yourself.

This is a space where not buying is just as acceptable as buying.

HerHush: Where Curiosity Is Allowed to Grow

After opening our first offline stores in 2023, we began asking ourselves a new question:
What happens when the conversation around sex grows outward—and upward?

That question led to OSUGA · HerHush.

Compared to our original stores, HerHush locations are larger, brighter, and more expansive in both scale and imagination. They are curated collection stores, bringing together a wider range of sexual wellness products from carefully selected domestic and international brands.

Here, exploration happens gradually: From beginner-friendly items to more advanced pleasure tools, including SM and kink-adjacent selections. Everything is presented clearly, thoughtfully, and without pressure.

Whether you are just starting your journey or already know exactly what you’re looking for, HerHush meets you where you are.

Toward a Future Where Nothing Needs to Be Whispered

Opening offline stores has never been about visibility alone. It has been about normalization.

We imagine a future where:

  • Talking about pleasure feels as natural as talking about health
  • Women don’t have to whisper their questions
  • Curiosity is met with information, not judgment

Our stores are small steps toward that future—physical spaces that quietly insist: you belong here, exactly as you are.

As OSUGA continues to grow, we will keep opening doors—literally and culturally—until sexual wellness feels less like a secret, and more like a shared language.

Because being seen, when done on your own terms, is powerful.
